Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte said such incidents occur due to illegal businesses, noting that the last seven shacks that caught fire had no Tourism Department permission. He added that yesterday’s burnt shack was Category C and privately operated.
He said a report has been sought and inspections of all tourism units have been ordered, assuring action.
