The Food and Drug Administration carried out a late-evening inspection yesterday at Colva Beach and Seraulim to check hygiene standards at hawkers, food carts and eateries.
At Colva, 14 hawkers were issued notices for violations such as lack of health cards and poor hygiene. In Seraulim, several vendors were fined for repeated non-compliance, with authorities noting serious sanitation issues. Operators have been directed to correct the violations within five days.
