Goa Human Rights Commission flags hygiene lapses at GMC

The Goa Human Rights Commission flagged sanitation lapses at the GMC following a rat-bite incident in the hospital

Following a rat-bite incident involving a patient in Ward 111 on August 29, the Goa Human Rights Commission highlighted serious sanitation concerns at Goa Medical College. It called for improved pest control, waste disposal and routine inspections, directing authorities to submit a compliance report by December 22, 2026.
