Goa Tourism Dept joins celebration of Three Kings feast

The Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) participated in the celebrations of the Three Kings Feast in Reis Magos, Verem, on 6 January 2026

The feast is celebrated uniquely with much pomp and tradition in Cansaulim, Arossim, Cuelim, Chandor and Reis Magos

Goa celebrated the Three Kings Feast with devotion and vibrant cultural expression across the scenic villages of Cansaulim, Chandor and Reis Magos, bringing together local communities and visitors in a shared observance of faith and tradition.


The Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) team led by the chairman of the GTDC Kedar J Naik along with managing director of the GTDC Kuldeep Arolkar; general manager of GTDC Gavin Dias; and deputy general manager of GTDC Deepak Narvekar and other officials, actively participated in the celebrations held at Reis Magos. The feast featured solemn masses and processions held at local churches, fostering a strong sense of devotion and communal unity.


Goa’s Minister for Tourism Rohan A Khaunte said, “Cultural and spiritual festivals form an important part of Goa’s tourism landscape. Such celebrations contribute to preserving traditions highlighting the deep-rooted faith, harmony and community participation that define Goa, and offering visitors an opportunity to experience authentic local traditions.”


Chairman, GTDC, Kedar J Naik, stated, “Community-based festivals play an important role in presenting Goa’s cultural identity. Such events help connect visitors with local traditions while ensuring that cultural practices continue to be celebrated in their natural community setting.”





ABOUT THE CELEBRATIONS


A highlight of the feast was the evocative reenactment of the journey of the magi, with three young men symbolically portraying the wise men as they carried traditional offerings through the streets of these villages. Traditional music, procession, and community-led events added colour and vibrancy to the festivities.


The outreach was further strengthened through a focused promotional campaign using digital platforms, influencer collaborations enabling the cultural significance of the Three Kings Feast celebration to reach audiences beyond the state. Goa Tourism also set up an information canopy at the church premises where visitors were provided details on tourism services and were offered refreshments and mementoes, enhancing their overall experience.


The Three Kings Feast 2026 once again highlighted Goa’s rich spiritual traditions and strong community bonds, reinforcing its identity as a destination where faith, culture and tradition continue to be celebrated in a meaningful manner.
