Goan artisan Amar Shet wins National Handicrafts Award

Goan artisan Amar L Shet is the first artisan from Goa to receive the honour

Goan artisan Amar L Shet, 35, from Mayem, Bicholim, has won the National Handicrafts Award 2025 in the Terracotta and Pottery category. He is the first artisan from Goa to receive this honour. He was recognised for his clay artwork depicting the traditional Shri Devi Kelbai Malyachi Jatra in Mayem.

The award includes a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, a shawl, a certificate and a tamrapatra.
