Night patrolling curbed crime; five held in dacoity cases: DGP

Bangladeshi accused were arrested in the Dona Paula and Mapusa cases with assistance from agencies in other states

Goa DGP Alok Kumar said that night patrolling has helped control dacoity and other crimes in the state. He said that no major dacoity cases have been reported after the Dona Paula and Mapusa incidents. He added that some house break-ins had been reported, but the police solved them quickly.


The DGP also said that Goa police arrested five Bangladeshi accused in connection with the Dona Paula and Mapusa dacoity cases with support from other state police forces and the BSF.
