No proof of 'hath katro khamb', says Carlos Ferreira

Aldona MLA Carlos Ferreira addressed the controversy surrounding statements made by Gautam Khattar regarding Pelourinho Novo, locally referred to as Hath Katro Khamb. Ferreira stated that the claims made have no authentic or historical basis and lack any suitable record, emphasising that history must rely on documented facts, not later interpretations.

He said the statements are misleading, aimed at spreading misinformation, and creating divisions among Goans. Ferreira confirmed that a police complaint has been filed against Gautam Khattar, along with supporting evidence, and urged authorities to take strict action in the interest of public order and communal harmony.
