In the midst of the Dussehra celebrations, Goa’s Dhangar community have urged the chief minister to grant them ST status

The Dhangar community of Goa celebrates Dussehra through age-old traditions, rituals, worship, and cultural performances passed down generations.

However, amid the festivities, community members appeal to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant for Scheduled Tribe (ST) status, citing decades of struggle and urging recognition before the elections.
